Welcome to the “about” page of Michelle Magly.

I’m just your typical teacher, writer, researcher, bookseller, and occasional coffee barista living in Alaska. Though I wear many hats in life, I have found that writing is my one true love.

I currently have one short story, “Heart,” featured in the 2012 Understory anthology from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. I also have some novels for sale through Desert Palm Press, the publishing company I work with. You can check out the details on that on the “Books” page for this website.

Aside from the professional stuff: I hike. I snowboard. I play videogames.

Anyways, that’s me. Feel free to post a comment/reply/whatever. I love hearing from people. You can email me at michellemagly@gmail.com with any comments, praise, criticism, or hatemail.

  1. I’m planning to get a dog soon, hope he or she will be as kind as your cat. I’m touched by your appreciation of your girlfriend. As a writer I know it’s not always easy to be with me when I’m off on one…

    • Thanks for the comment! Yeah, getting into the flow of writing is always a rewarding experience, but it’s easy to get carried away on them.

  2. Hi I just finished reading warriors of osota which was Fanfreakingtastically amazing!!! I couldn’t put it down (even at work!) I was wondering if you sold signed copies of your novels? I would be reaaaaally interested in purchasing a copy of each. Please let me know if that’s possible or not 🙂

    • Hi! I’m so happy you enjoyed the novel! Unfortunately, I don’t have an easy way to distribute signed copies at the moment, but it really makes me glad to see that someone enjoyed reading the book that much. Thank you so much for leaving a comment. I always love hearing from fans.
